New Fabric kits from Moda are in! These are the cutest kits in a neat little fabric box that folds up flat to store it when the project is made or use it in your own sewing room. This kit makes a baby quilt and a tote bag from the Verna line by Kate Spain. We also received some of their Whimsy line by Fig Tree Quilts. We have Maywood's patriotic quilt, Maid of Honor and a few of the Polar Bear kits available. We plan on stocking a few new kits regularly. We are waiting on 1 bolt of fabric so that we can kit the Equinox Quilt with Maywood's Wild Rose line of fabric designed by Jackie Robinson. South Sea's Little Hot Rod is a neat panel and coordinating prints to make that favorite little boy of yours a neat play panel. We seem to be getting in kids prints lately but I couldn't resist Henry Glass' Noah's Journey in soft pastels.

My Label Club on March 13th will have a special presentation about lining jackets given by Joanne Gyetvay. You won't want to miss it. All My Label users are invited. Joanne's skills are amazing and we'll have some fun and learn a lot as well. Those of you that aren't quite My Label owners, please call and put yourself on the guest list so we can have a head count and chairs ready. Many of you struggle with linings so this will be great for you to see and learn everything you can. We take your measurements and help you fit yourself so you can get going on My Label.

Tuesday night, March 9, is our first Advanced Digitizing group meeting. If you are presenting digitizing but would like to work with others in advancing your skills, then come join our group. Bring your problems and samples and we can all work together as a goal to fix your problem and challenge us to learn more about this software. We will meet from 6 pm to 9 pm.

We just had them make a change in Dakota Collectibles and some of them are really nice. If you hate looking at designs through a web site, you can buy the whole catalog and get it on DVD as well for a reasonable price. They always have some on sale so be sure to check them out.

If you are interested in updating or purchasing V6 software, please come in and let us know. Let us show you all the tools available in this fantastic software. We do 10 classes and keep up your software education in Software Club later once a month. You can update from V4 to V6 if you haven't kept up in the game for a while. We will hand out a CD with V6 exercises at Software Club or Software Mastery Class for you to print. Update with us and attend all the software mastery classes free. There is a patch for the drivers for those of you that have purchased Windows 7 computers. We have not had the issues we had with Vista. The patch is located on the Bernina web site under downloads toward the bottom of the page.

Please start referring to the Bernina section on this web site for references for updates and patches and all kinds of good information that you might need to know. I can't put it all on this page and it won't apply to everyone. Same with My Label. We will try to put the topic of the club for the monthly meeting on those pages of the web site.

Have you seen the 830 machine??? It's huge to start with and awesome with all the special features it has such as BSR, dual feed (that means no walking foot), extremely large bobbin and no bobbin case, 12 inch neck from inside of the machine to the needle! and I can go on and on. The jumbo hoop is as wide as 2 mega hoops and has quick release latches. I told you I could go on. Seeing it is believing it. The machine is now in stock so you won't have to wait months if you are ready to buy. The 820 is available as well. This is the version basically for quilters who do not want embroidery. Special Financing is available through the end of the month.

830 Machine

12 inches is how much space you have between the needle and the base of the machine of the fantastic 830 and 820! Come see for yourself.

Our new Horn cabinets are lovely and so strong and study. You won't have any vibration with these cabinets no matter how fast you sew! We have 7 models in the shop so you can see for yourself plus they have a computer desk that is nice to match your sewing cabinet.

If you are not familiar with the Master Hooper (the best hooping aid on the market), then you need to ask us for a demonstration. It is available for the for Bernina Models 200, 730, 430, 440, 630 & 640. There is even a special one created to accommodate the new Bernina 830 and it's Jumbo Hoop.

Until next week,

Toni
