Intermediate Quilt Class


So, you mastered your beginner’s quilt class but not sure what to do next? Well, here’s the class for you. Pam has created a class that introduces you to the next skills in machine piecing. She has inset seams, curved seams, appliqué and several other techniques that will challenge you but not overwhelm you. Take the next step in your quilt education. 

Class Fee: $50 plus supplies

Cool Springs Inferno



What a fun and funky lap quilt! Come up with a color way, add some black and white fabrics and then spice it up with a contrasting inner border. Curved piecing is a snap with this pattern and the curved slotted ruler. You CAN do curved piecing without pins!

Radiant Star


This quilt is also called a Lone Star, Texas Star and Star of Bethlehem and has long been a favorite among quilters. The main difficulty has been fullness at the center of the star. In class you will learn how to avoid this pitfall and create a beautiful flat quilt.

Love Letters (BOM)


A new Block of the month features 6 blocks made twice. The blocks are big and beautiful. You can pick your own fabric or make it with our kit of Moda fabric. Make more blocks if you want it bigger. Let Dorren help you simplify the directions with her tips. (optional Kit is $140.00)

Ribbon Star Quilt


Strip sets are used to make this quilt so it looks like ribbon running through the quilt. Ann will use bias strips to make our ribbons and then cut on the straight to make our stars. She says you don’t have to worry about using bias strips as they go together fast and easily. You only need five fabrics to make this beautiful quilt.

Celtic Wave



This beautiful Judy Niemeyer paper pieced quilt may be made in two different sizes. Linda’s sample is made with the extra foundation paper and is 90” x 90”. The smaller version is 70” x 70”. This is a challenging project but totally worth it because the finished quilt is stunning. By the end of this class your points and curves will be perfect.

Diamond Double Wedding Ring


This quilt is not for beginners, but if you are ready to advance your piecing skills, this is the class for you. Curved piecing, set-in seams; learn all the tricks to conquer your worst piecing fears! You’ll love the sense of accomplishment upon mastering these skills.

Forever Yours   

   

In this class you will be using simple piecing techniques and dimensional curves to create the effect of two overlapping rings. This quilt looks a lot like a double wedding ring quilt, but it is so much easier to make. Imagine no curved pieces to cut and sew together.

Shadow Box


Try this simple but very eye catching quilt that creates the shadow box effect just like it’s name. Pam will spend the first class helping you pick your colors. Might be neat for a guy quilt if you’re looking for one.

In and Out in Silk


Have you drooled over the silk fat quarter kits displayed on the cutting table? Here is an easy and versatile pattern to create a masterpiece. You will learn how to handle that gorgeous silk dupioni. Of course, you may use any other fabric, too. That is what makes this pattern so accommodating. If you choose to make it in silk, you will learn some of the tricks to working with this fabric that is so luscious and you will have a beautiful quilted throw when you are finished.

Grace by 3 Sisters


Have you ever wished you had a house that you didn’t have to clean? Then we have the house quilt for you. This Kit is full of beautiful Moda fabric in rich green, browns, red and cream colors. All machine piecing. Dorren added a border but that’s up to you.

Criss Cross Double Toss


What a great way to use that awesome print that you just hate to cut up. Coordinate fabrics with it to show off your favorite piece still in a large block so it can shine. Let Dorren show you how to keep the sequence of the blocks correct so that you do not get turned around. If you have been looking for a big bed quilt, this ones for you.

T-Shirt Quilt   

 

A one day class that will teach you what you need to know about putting your collection of T-shirts to good use and making a quilt. Do you or one of your family members have  T-shirts from cheerleading, college, football, travel or running etc? It’s a great way to save the memories and be functional at the same time. You will bring a few of your shirts and Frances will talk about how you do it and give you options to make it special. Your shirts need to be washed and dried without any fabric softener of any kind on them.

Twist & Turn Bargello



This class will be taught by two teachers, Jody Townley & Linda Leake. They have made several quilts from the Twist & Turn Bargello Quilts book, but you get the opportunity to choose whatever quilt catches your fancy from this book. They willl help guide you no matter what you choose. If you need help choosing fabric, we will dedicate the first class to guiding you in your fabric choices. Once you have chose your fabric, the hardest part is over because the technique used to construct these quilts is very easy. It’s all about keeping organized. You will be surprised to see how different and how beautiful each design will be.

Fat Quarter Swap


This fun quilt is the result of a simple twist on a classic block. Using light and dark fabrics around a center fabric, you will construct courthouse step blocks. The center of those blocks are then sliced and shuffled to create a colorful, totally new design. Fun & Quick.

Freedom Wall Hanging

Scrappy, strip pieced wall hanging resembling the American Flag. Stars will be machine appliqué. Several techniques to choose from. Have an indoor flag to put up during Memorial weekend or 4th of July. I have a patriotic room so mine will be up all the time.

Turn & Tumble Quilt



If you are tired of straight or on point settings, get ready to mix things up. This awesome quilt is made on the diagonal. Just pick a theme print and coordinating fabrics. Then, turn and tumble your coordinating fabrics and look at your design in a whole new way.

Bramble Baskets

This is another quilt from the Buggy Barn “Crazy” series. For those unfamiliar with these, you stack, you whack, sew together with nothing matching, then trim to size. Couldn’t be easier! That sounds like a quilters’s dream, no matching!
